At White Water Antiques, we sell “estate quality” silverplate and sterling flatware. That means we sell used vintage items. That's why people wonder, "What will I get?" That's certainly an honest and fair question.

Our singular goal is for you to smile when you open that box from us. That is why we have a process to make your order “table-ready”.

Many of our sales are silver-plated, and that can include plating loss, hidden defects, and damage. First, we select the best examples of pieces in any given pattern we can find.

Next, we gently buff each piece, which takes off many tiny scratches the eye can’t see. We use soft buffs and plant-based compounds to preserve the integrity of the original designer's work.

We finish the process with careful polishing. By now, any odors are gone as well. Sometimes damage is covered by tarnish, and we toss those pieces.

For standard sterling silver flatware, the process is similar. However, we do not buff historic pieces or souvenir gift pieces.

After all that work, you are still the final judge. If you are not happy, all our sales are guaranteed and returnable within 30 days.
